Writing is where I make meaning of everything I’ve lived, questioned, survived and imagined. Through TV, film, nonfiction and books for both adults and children, I explore the emotional, cultural, spiritual and psychological layers of what it means to be human. Especially within multicultural, immigrant and marginalized communities.
My work moves fluidly across genres: from relationship-driven drama and comedy to sci-fi world-building, wellness storytelling and metaphysical inquiry. I’m deeply drawn to stories that sit at the intersection of mental health, embodiment, trauma, healing and consciousness. Stories that honor complexity and evolution.
My writing is shaped by lived experience, creative rigor and a lifelong commitment to truth, justice and transformation. I aim to create work that resonates deeply, expands perspective, and reminds us of our innate capacity for compassion, courage and renewal.
This page is a living archive of the stories I’m developing and the visions I’m bringing to life.

short script:
“GOODBYE ESFAHAN”
written by NATASHA FOROUZANNIA
“Goodbye Esfahan” is a short film inspired by my Father’s first day in America in 1975. I wrote this to bring a relatable sense of humanity to the immigrant experience. Moving to a new country is traumatic and requires the courage to learn to survive. My goal for this script is to eventually turn it into a short film that I direct. I hope this project heals my family, inspires more kindness and helps immigrants feel seen around the world.
Logline: Goodbye Esfahan is inspired by the true story of the day Iranian native, Hosein Ali Forouzannia, immigrated to America from Esfahan, Iran in 1975 and the challenges of that monumental day in his life.

NON-FICTION:
My nonfiction work centers on exploring the intersections of chronic illness, mental health, trauma recovery, holistic medicine and esoteric wisdom through a grounded, research-informed and deeply personal lens. Writing for readers navigating physical, emotional and spiritual suffering, I focus on translating complex healing modalities into accessible, practical frameworks that support long-term resilience and self-agency.
Drawing from lived experience, interdisciplinary study and integrative wellness practice, my work bridges science, spirituality and storytelling. I approach wellness writing as both an educational resource and a narrative space, designed to meet readers with compassion while empowering them to actively engage in their own healing process.
Check out and subscribe to Natasha’s Substack for her latest non-fiction essays. She writes for people who experience suffering (body, mind or spirit) and are curious to find ways to holistically reduce it. Exploring the intersection of chronic wellness, holistic curiosity and esoteric wisdom.

Deconstructing Peace: 100 Hours of Meditation in 10 Days of Silence
A biological, psychological and spiritual breakdown of what peace actually is and the mediation technique that showed me why we stay miserable.
by Natasha Forouzannia
My 30s have been hard.
Outside of the many incredible blessings in my life like amazing people, access to nature, some marvelous adventures, celebrations, deep growth, basic needs and my sister and friends blessing me with nieces and nephews… My 30s have been hard.
I’ve been consumed with healing…
Very privately, I’ve been managing chronic illness since my early twenties that turned life threatening and disabling in my 30s. Stealing years of my life, tethered to bi-monthly IV infusions indefinitely. I’ve been fighting for a vital life and shifting from a victim of disease to a student of it. Manically cracking the codes of health from every POV: holistic, allopathic, alternative, energetic, esoteric with every subcategory and remedy explored and implemented as if my life depended on it… because it did. I am finally in a place where I can maintain remission and control arising symptoms through natural medicine, remedies and detoxing protocols but my everyday lifestyle choices are crucial to remain stable. Lack of discipline is not an option. I’ve also been doing the grievous work with professionals and alone to heal PTSD from childhood trauma… abandonment, foster care, neglect, psychological abuse, intergenerational trauma etc. All of which is undeniably entangled with my physical ailments. Grimly consumed alchemizing pain into screenplays and embodying every practice and principle possible to release all malady from my body, mind and spirit. Living with discomfort, facing every part of me… yet grateful for the evolution.
CHILDREN’S BOOK SERIES:
Alongside my work in TV/film and nonfiction, I am creating stories for children that honor their emotional, spiritual and intuitive intelligence. My children’s writing is rooted in the belief that young people deserve tools for self-trust, empathy, resilience and inner grounding from the very beginning of life.
This work is inspired by my own healing journey and by a desire to offer the next generation gentle narratives that support nervous system regulation, emotional literacy and connection to self and nature. Through simplicity, beauty and intention, I aim to create books that meet children where they are while planting seeds that continue to grow with them.
I view children’s storytelling as both a creative practice and a form of advocacy: a way to nurture conscious, compassionate and emotionally equipped humans in an increasingly complex world. My projects are designed to align with contemporary SEL (social emotional learning) frameworks while remaining timeless in tone and adaptable across formats, including books, board books, collectible series and animation.
